Mr. Ryan D. MorseCMT, CFP – President, Chief Investment Officer, Chief Compliance Officer
Mr. Morse is the President of Jersey Shore Portfolio Management, LLC, which he founded in 2007 and registered independently in 2012.
Mr. Morse is a Chartered Market Technician (CMT), a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER professional (CFP), and a candidate in the Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) program. He holds a B.A. in Computer Systems Engineering from Boston University’s College of Engineering and maintains Series 3, Series 63, and Series 65 licenses with FINRA and NFA.
Before starting Jersey Shore Portfolio Management, Mr. Morse spent over ten years in the financial services industry, most recently running Jersey Shore Investments, an independent branch office of BrokersXpress, a former subsidiary of OptionsXpress and The Charles Schwab Corporations.
Prior to that, Mr. Morse was a portfolio manager and financial consultant with Garden State Securities, managing the financial affairs for a group of private clientele. Mr. Morse began his career at Upromise Inc., servicing 529 plans and improving back-office operations while enrolled as an undergrad in Boston. He returned to NJ and began his career as a financial advisor and active money manager in 2005.

Trent J. Smalley, CMT is a portfolio manager and Investment Advisor Representative of Jersey Shore Portfolio Management. He holds the Chartered Market Technician designation and is an active member of the CMT Association. He maintains a Series 3 and Series 65 license with FINRA and the NFA.
Mr. Smalley lives in Omaha, Nebraska where he attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2006 with a B.S. in Psychology and has been active in the financial services industry since 2007.
Mr. Smalley began working in the Financial Analytics division of DTN headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska. He began trading personal capital as well as the capital of family and friends as he completed the Chartered Market Technician designation. This exposure to the active trading community leads Trent to become a student of the markets.
In 2015, Mr. Smalley started www.omahacharts.com, a widely followed blog about the markets which is deeply rooted in quantitative technical analysis. He frequently posts market commentary as well as trade ideas, risk management analysis, and other market-related news. Mr. Smalley has been featured on popular podcasts such as Futures Radio Show, where he speaks about his trading, and asset management methodology.
Alongside his passion for trading and analyzing the markets, Mr. Smalley can be found actively volunteering with the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Open DoorMission. In his free time, Trent is an avid reader, enjoys leading a healthy lifestyle, and surrounding himself with friends and family.
