Trent J. Smalley, CMT is a portfolio manager and Investment Advisor Representative of Jersey Shore Portfolio Management. He holds the Chartered Market Technician designation and is an active member of the CMT Association. He maintains a Series 3 and Series 65 license with FINRA and the FNA.

Mr. Smalley lives in Omaha, Nebraska where he attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha graduating Magna Cum Laude in 2006 with a B.S. in Psychology and has been active in the financial services industry since 2007.

Mr. Smalley began working in the Financial Analytics division of DTN headquartered in Omaha, Nebraska. He began trading personal capital as well as the capital of family and friends as he completed the Chartered Market Technician designation. This exposure to the active trading community leads Trent to become a student of the markets.

In 2015, Mr. Smalley started Omahacharts.com, a widely followed blog about the markets which is deeply rooted in quantitative technical analysis. He frequently posts market commentary as well as trade ideas, risk management analysis, and other market-related news. Mr. Smalley has been featured on popular podcasts such as Futures Radio Show, where he speaks about his trading, and asset management methodology.

Alongside his passion for trading and analyzing the markets, Mr. Smalley can be found actively volunteering with the University of Nebraska Medical Center and Open DoorMission. In his free time, Trent is an avid reader, enjoys leading a healthy lifestyle, and surrounding himself with friends and family.
